As of 15.12.2011
All titles can be purchased from the Aarhus University Press website. Prices are subject to availability and price increases. All prices are shown with 25 % VAT.
If you have problems completing an order, please call us at +45 53 55 05 42. We answer the phone weekdays 8:30-15:30.
Aarhus University Press offers two different types of discounts on purchases made on our website.
FREE SHIPPING. If you buy for over 500.00 DKK (inc. VAT), your order will be delivered with free shipping within Denmark, excl. the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
FREE E-BOOK. As something quite unique to Danish web shops we include a free e-book when you purchase a physical book. If there is an associated e-book, this will be clearly stated on the book's website (to the left of the book's cover). We currently have nearly 300 titles converted into e-book format, and are working on offering our customers an e-book for all new titles. You can of course opt to buy an e-book without the physical book.
Please refer to our website for updates about new e-books, or subscribe to our newsletter here.
Ordering and Payment
Once you have found an item you wish to purchase, click on 'add to basket'. You can at any time click on your shopping cart and you can easily change the quantity of any title or remove selected items.
When you are satisfied with the contents of your cart, click on the link "Forward your information" below. Here you must enter your name and address, your email address and mobile number.
Using your mobile number, Post Denmark will send you an SMS with information about the shipment of your package. If your order weighs less than 2 kg, it will be sent as a letter, and no SMS will be sent.
By default the shipping address is selected to match the billing address. Should your letter be delivered to an address other than your billing address, you must remove the checkmark next to "Send to the address above" and enter an alternative shipping address. Please note that all packages weighing more than 2 kg to private customers will be sent as packages without delivery, unless you in the commentary field indicate that you wish the package sent directly to you. All letters will be sent directly to your adress.
For your security, your email and mobile number are only used in this order. We do not store this information for any other use.
You can now click on the link "Continue to payment". As a private customer, you can pay online by credit card. If you have indicated that you are a business, you now have the opportunity to choose between either debit card, invoice or EAN.
You finish your order by clicking on "Continue to review your order" in which you are presented with an order summary. To begin the checkout process, you must agree with Aarhus University Press terms and conditions. Payment is made via an encrypted SSL connection with Dibs (certified payment service provider) where you must choose to pay with your Dankort, VISA-Dankort, VISA or Mastercard. This is done by selecting a card, entering your card details and approving your purchase by clicking on "Validate payment".
Payment is complete when you come to the page: "Payment accepted". Click "Next" to see your receipt. You may print this receipt if you wish, but you will receive an order confirmation by email.
Terms and Conditions
All prices are current retail prices including VAT. VAT registered customers can enter their VAT number and can be exempted from paying Danish VAT. Upon delivery to addresses outside the EU, VAT is always deducted automatically.
When you have completed an order, you will receive an order confirmation - usually within a few minutes. Please verify that the order confirmation is correct. Contact the publisher at +45 53 55 05 42 if you discover any errors or omissions.
If you pay by card, the amount is withdrawn from your account when your goods are dispatched from our warehouse. If your purchase was made on a weekday before 11.30 CET, we will typically send your goods the same day. If the purchase is made after 11.30 CET, orders are usually shipped within 24 hours. You will receive an email when the order is shipped.
In Denmark, we send your order with Post Denmark. Orders sent by parcel post will be sent without delivery, unless you have indicated otherwise, and you will receive an SMS to let you know when you can pick up your order. Book packages of less than 2 kg to private customers are sent by letter post to customers in Denmark. Letters will be delivered to your indicated adress. Orders of more than 500 g to business customers will be sent as packages. Shipments abroad are sent by Post Denmark International.
Shipping cost is automatically calculated according to weight and size.
Aarhus University Press strives to deliver your purchases as quickly as possible. In Denmark, the package will usually be received 4 working days after the order is processed. In Europe, your orders should arrive within a week, and overseas shipping time ranges from 4-5 business days to 4-12 weeks depending on destination.
