About the book
The title of this book refers to a research seminar held in Copenhagen in Oktober 1994. In 1995 two more seminars were held: "Writing to Learn and Assessment Issues: Gender Inclusive Science Teaching" and "Are Museums, Science Centres, Nature Schools always places of Learning?"
The seminars were organized by The Research Programme in Educational Theory and Curriculum and The Forum for Nature and Technology (FONATE) at The Royal Danish School of Educational Studies.
The articles in this book are based on papers presented at the seminars or written by researchers that attended the seminars. The idea of the seminars was to present and discuss research about the learning and assessment of science.
